A Look Back at 2024 and Forward to 2025
As we reflect on this past year, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible support that has fueled our mission to improve the lives of those impacted by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). 2024 was a year of progress, innovation and connection!
Here’s a look back at some of the milestones we achieved together:
2024 Highlights
Serving the EB Community Nationwide:
debra of America served individuals with EB across all 50 states, guiding families through daily challenges, connecting them to cutting-edge clinical trials, and providing a record number of over 700 care packages filled with vital medical supplies to those with EB in need.

The Largest debra Care Conference (DCC) Yet:
This year’s conference in Atlanta, GA brought the EB Community together like never before, offering invaluable education, support, and connection to families across the country. Over 700 strong — plus 50 national experts in the EB space and a keynote from U.S. FDA leadership!
Our First Event in Los Angeles:
We hosted our first-ever Benefit in Los Angeles at the stunning SoFi Stadium, uniting supporters, industry partners, and EB Community members to raise funds and awareness for EB. We honored EB trailblazers including Dr. Anna Bruckner, Chiesi Global Rare Diseases, Paradigm Therapeutics, and EB Community members Megan Gosselin and Rafaella “Rafi” Kopelan.
#TEAMDEBRA Went the Distance for EB:
Athletes on #TEAMDEBRA pushed their limits in endurance events, taking on personal challenges to raise awareness and fight EB. These 56 dedicated athletes crushed it at eight events across the nation and around the globe, raising over $130,000 to fuel debra’s mission.
Whether you’re a supporter, a person living with EB, a caregiver, or a friend or family member, thank you for standing with us this year in the fight against EB.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we approach 2025, our commitment to the EB Community remains stronger than ever. Our plans include strengthening essential programs and services, reaching even more families with the support they need, and expanding educational resources to empower the EB Community and those who care for them. We remain steadfast in advancing research to bring more treatment options—and ultimately, a cure—while advocating for progress and inclusivity at the governmental level to ensure greater support for EB.
Thank you for standing with us every step of the way. Your support brings us closer to a future where the burdens of EB are eased and eradicated, empowering those affected to lead lives free from the challenges of EB.
Here’s to another year of progress and hope!
Sincerely,
The debra of America Team
